The time has come... NYCFC’s new season is coming up and to promote the new season to their biggest fans, and NYC, we wanted to throw a big game in the middle of Rockerfeller center®. This was the 24 Hour Game.

Fans were able to sign up on the slot of their choice to get a chance to play in a never forgetful soccer game.

To start it off, we needed to come up with a way to represent New York, and New York City’s Football Club. Since New York is the city that never sleeps, we wanted to go for a neon sign look, making everything feel alive no matter what time of day it is.

Typography

We wanted to make sure that the look and feel was applied to the typeface.
By creating a custom font, we went to the drawing board to explore how
neon signs live, but also have legibility. By creating this typeface, we were able
to create signage for the campaign. Making it easy to translate the feeling
of the 24 Hour game.

As part of the campaign, we’ve designed t-shirts to represent each team according to their colors.

The Stats

During the game, staff were rotated through out to keep stats of the game. We wanted to
be able to give the fans who attended, and who didn’t the ending results. By showing the
results we wanted to make sure the same look and feel was applied to the statistics,
with custom iconography, making the players still feel connected to what they’ve experienced.
